Expanding and reputable Renewable Energy firm based in Austin, TX is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst with between 3-to-6 years of experience. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, this individual will be responsible for the following job duties, including (but not limited to):
- Assisting with the development and oversight of operating and capital budgets, while working cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely information
- Developing and maintaining monthly, quarterly, annual, and multi-year financial reporting for shareholders, especially related to cash management and liquidity
- Developing clear and concise financial analysis (including credit analysis) and relevant recommendations to management, while highlighting trends and unexpected variances
- Creating and maintaining short and long-term financial models to forecast and recommend adequate capital coverage, including debt and equity raises and maintenance of debt service coverage ratios
- Managing cash investments in accordance with the Company and regulatory investment and governance policies
- Managing noteholder relationships to ensure debt agreement compliance and ongoing positive relationships with noteholders
- Assisting with the annual rating surveillance process, while building and maintaining credit rating agency relationships, and producing credit agency analysis requirements
- Preparing financial reports for regulatory bodies as requested, along with ad-hoc credit agency analysis requirements
- Supporting Company with special projects to improve process efficiency and performance as assigned by management.
To be considered, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA is preferred but not required
- Three or more (3+) years of post-graduate corporate Finance experience
- Proven working knowledge of FP&A items such as Budgeting, Forecasting, Analysis, Modeling, and Credit is needed
- Advanced-level user of Microsoft Excel, including proficiency with V-lookups, pivot tables, etc.
- Strong ERP and other financial systems proficiency (such as Oracle, Power BI, etc.), along with data management skills
- Previous exposure to industries such as Renewable Energy, Power Generation, Utilities, etc. is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Outstanding analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail
