We have partnered with an established, mid-sized Austin-based CPA firm in their search for an experienced Tax Associate. A Senior Associate title may be offered, depending on qualifications. This individual will be responsible for hands-on tax preparation and review for an established client base, including small and mid-sized Corporations, Partnerships, high-net worth Individuals, Trusts, and Estates. Job responsibilities will include the following:
- Hands-on preparation and review of individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns and compliance filings on a timely basis.
- Working with clients to gather relevant financial information for necessary tax filings.
- Communicating tax planning advice and recommendations to clients.
- Performing hands-on Tax research related to new and updated guidance.
- Coordinating with the IRS and other tax authorities whenever necessary.
- Working closely with others within the firm, including peers, staff, managers and partners.
- Providing top-notch customer service by responding to requests and inquiries from clients, while building positive, lasting relationships.
To be considered, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- At least two (2) years of Tax-focused experience within public accounting is required.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (or Taxation).
- A licensed CPA (or active CPA candidate) is preferred, although not required.
- Proven ability to research, comprehend and apply new Tax laws and regulations is necessary.
- Excellent communication and client service skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
